Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan's message comes after the Permanent Electoral Authority announced the centralized results from all polling stations in Bucharest. Ciprian Ciucu, the PNL candidate, won the election after obtaining 36.16% of the votes.

At the statements after the closing of the polls and the announcement of the exit poll results on Sunday evening, Ciprian Ciucu appeared alongside Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan and the former PNL president, Ludovic Orban. The Prime Minister did not make any statement last night, but sent a message on his Facebook on Monday morning.

“Congratulations, Ciprian Ciucu! Through the proven competence at the Sector 6 City Hall, through the integrity proven in these years and through the attachment to Bucharest, I am convinced that he will change the face of the Capital. I thank the citizens of Bucharest for their support!”, said Ilie Bolojan.

The Prime Minister continued: “I will collaborate with Ciprian Ciucu and the mayors of the sectors to solve the problems that also concern the Government. Respect!”.

Ciprian Ciucu from the PNL is the big winner in the elections for the Capital City Hall, far from his followers. In second place was Anca Alexandrescu, supported by AUR, who took the face of PESEDist Daniel Băluță, the mayor of Sector 4.

Ciucu won in five of the six sectors and was close to winning even in Sector 4, where the PSD opponent Daniel Băluță was the mayor. HotNews presents you with the possibility to enter to see the results of the elections, broken down by sectors, districts and polling stations.
