A resident of the Boguchansky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory will be reimbursed hexpenses for repairing household appliances and will pay moral damages. This was reported by the press service of the regional Rospotrebnadzor.

According to the department, in October 2024, a team of electricians changed the meter on one of the poles, which is located near the woman’s house. During the work, the team made a mistake and mixed up the wires, as a result, high voltage was supplied to the electrical network. Because of this, the woman in the house The washing machine, convection heater and LED chandelier were out of order.

The victim’s workshop issued a conclusion that the cause of the breakdown of electrical appliances was a sharp voltage drop. In addition, the chandelier was beyond repair, and repairs to household appliances cost 8,800 rubles.

“The victim’s application to the company for compensation repair costs was not fulfilled, then she went to court. Rospotrebnadzor specialists were engaged by the court to provide an opinion in order to protect consumer rights,” clarified by the department.

By a court decision in favor of the consumer, 28,200 rubles were recovered, of which moral damages in the amount of 10,000 rubles, a fine – 9,400 rubles.
