If you need a snack that quickly saturates, does not cause sugar jumps and does not contain preservatives, try home walnut and fruit balls. Prepared in 10 minutes, do not require the oven and are great for a snack.
What will be needed:
Dates without bones – 150 g
Walnuts or almonds – 100 g
Quick -cook oatmeal – 3 tablespoons
Cocoa powder or coconut chips-for sprinkling
A pinch of salt (optional)
How to cook:
- Pour the dates with warm water for 5 minutes, then drain the liquid. Dry the nuts slightly in a pan without oil so that the taste becomes more saturated.
- Fold dates, nuts, oatmeal and salt in a blender.
- Grind until the mass becomes sticky and homogeneous. She should slide into a ball without crumbs.
- Form small balls the size of a walnut.
- Roll them in cocoa, coconut or ground nuts.
If you want a denser texture, add a little chia or linen seeds. They absorb moisture and make the balls even more satisfying.
Store in the refrigerator in a closed jar for up to 2 weeks.
Bon appetit!
