Leipzig inflicted on Eintracht the second most painful score in the history of the club in the first division!
The main “executioner” of Dino Toppmoller's band this evening was the 19-year-old young Ivorian from Leipzig's attack, Yan Diomande, who scored a “hattrick” in Zetterer's goal (45', 55', 65').
The other three goals were scored by Conrad Harder (5'), Christoph Baumgartner (31') and David Raum (penalty – 62'). What's more, Baumgartner, the Austrian midfielder who also played against Romania, was extremely close to achieving the “double”, but his success in the 39th minute was canceled for offside.
Following this result, the line-up at the Red Bull Arena remained in second position in Germany, still eight lengths behind champions and leaders Bayern Munich. On the other hand, those from Frankfurt currently occupy the 7th place in the ranking, with 21 points.
