Charles Leclerc, 28, is putting pressure on Ferrari, saying at the end of this season that 2026 will be an all-or-nothing, “now or never” year.
It was a complicated year for Ferrari and the Scuderia drivers. Charles Leclerc ended the season with a total of 242 points, Lewis Hamilton accumulated 156 in his first year at Ferrari.
Disappointment runs high at Maranello given how competitive Ferrari have been at the end of 2024. Perhaps most disappointed was Charles Leclerc, but the Monegasque hopes his team can get the new era of F1 off to a flying start.

Starting in 2026, the single-seaters will be smaller, lighter, have a different aerodynamic concept and different engines. Leclerc wants to fight for the title, suggesting, between the lines, that it is the last chance he is giving to the “Racky Horse”.
Charles Leclerc warns Ferrari: “Now or never!”
“It's hard, but at the same time I think the whole team is extremely motivated for next year. That's because there are big changes ahead of us and a huge opportunity to show why Ferrari is capable. It's now or never.
I really hope that we will start this new era with the right, it is important in the perspective of the next 4 years”, said Leclerc, according to PlanetF1.
The information from the specialized press is that Leclerc would have a contract with Ferrari until 2029, but with a clause that would allow him to leave at the end of 2027, in case he does not have a single-seater available to fight for the world title.
