Legia Warsaw is on the relegation zone in Poland, and the fans have lost patience with the former team coached by Edward Iordănescu. Legia suffered another defeat, 0-1 against Piast, and finished 17th out of 18 in the Ekstraklasa. The squad has not achieved a single win since parting ways with the former national team coach.
The failure with Piast, the goal conceded by Legia in the 83rd minute, triggered the riot in Warsaw. Three draws and six defeats in all competitions without a win.
Huge scandal at Legia! Open war on all fronts
Legia Warsaw is going through a nightmare period after the departure of Edward Iordănescu (47 years old). The team, now led by Spaniard Iñaki Astiz, is unable to recover.
The management of the club, but especially the fans, have no more patience, and the Spaniard is one step away from being fired. The first name on the list? Bogdan Racovițan's coach from Raków, Marek Papszun.

Discussions are advanced, but the players are the ones to blame for the chaos at the team. “Some players don't have c###e to play in this shirt! They don't have the courage to play, their confidence is gone”, is the message sent by Fredi Bobic, the director of operations.
The boss Dariusz Mioduski was threatened by the ultras
Edward Iordănescu led the Poles in 23 games, during which he recorded 11 victories, 6 draws and 6 failures. However, he ticked off two goals out of three: winning the Polish Super Cup and qualifying the team for the European Cups.
The Polish press insisted on finding out the real reason why Iordănescu resigned. Dozens of phone calls and messages to Edward and his staff went unanswered.

The Polish fans targeted the club's owner for the departure of Iordănescu jr. and unleashing chaos from the team.
Dariusz Mioduski was threatened by ultras, and at the last matches several banners against him appeared in the stands of the gallery.
The real reasons why Iordănescu resigned
“I don't give interviews and now is not the time to talk about what happened at Legia”, was the message sent by Iordănescu to the Polish journalists with whom Gazeta Sporturilor collaborates.
Journalists in Poland “digging” for information and found out that “Iordănescu had no say in the matter of player transfers”. “Everything was done over his head!”, are the revelations of those who closely follow the activity of the Warsaw club.
GSP.RO wrote immediately after Iordănescu's resignation that he “was lied to” and that “the incoming players have no way of being put in place so quickly. You can see that those who have left the team have left a huge void.”
For Legia Warsaw, the last European match follows, in the Conference League against Lincoln, on Thursday (December 18, 22:00). Legia no longer has any chance to qualify, being the 30th place out of 36 with only 3 points, a victory achieved by Iordănescu, with Shakhtior.
