When the garden falls asleep and the last leaves fall from the apple trees, it is time for the main cultivation of the year. Autumn spraying not only protects trees, but creates a shield that will protect them throughout the next season.
Spray composition:
- 500 g of urea (urea);
- 300 g of copper sulfate;
- 200 g laundry soap;
- 10 liters of water.
Correct processing technology:
Wait until the leaves have completely fallen off.
Choose a dry, windless day with temperatures above +5°C.
Thoroughly spray the trunk, all branches and the tree trunk circle.
Pay special attention to cracks in the bark – pests spend the winter there.
Urea burns out spores of fungal diseases, copper sulfate destroys pest larvae, and soap creates a protective film. Treatment in November is especially effective: the plants are ready for winter, and pathogens are most vulnerable.
Is it possible to treat young trees?
Yes, but the concentration needs to be halved.
What to do if you missed the November treatment?
Spend it in December at above-zero temperatures.
Do I need to remove foliage before spraying?
Yes, be sure to collect and burn – scab spores overwinter in the leaves.
