Russia remains a significant supplier of liquid gas to Poland, according to data collected by the Polish Liquid Gas Organization (PATP) – we read in the Friday edition of “Puls Biznesu”.

The newspaper reports that although in December the embargo has been effective for this fuel from Russia, the regulations include an exception: Import of LPG faction used in the refinery industry. According to “PB”, in Poland they are mixed with propane and sold at gas stations.
“In connection with the gap in the embargo, in the first quarter we observed a steady increase in the imports of N-butane and Izobutans from Russia. In January it was 22,000 tonnes, in February 31 thousand tons, in March 38,000 tons in March,” Bartosz Kwiatkowski, general director of Pogp, told Dziennik.
As a result, as the author of the text writes, “the participation of Russia in the Import of LPG to Poland in the first quarter amounted to over 18 percent in all of 2024. It was about 43 percent.” (PAP)
