Rapid received a new fine from the Professional Football League following the pyrotechnic show made by Giulești supporters in the away match lost to CFR Cluj, score 0-3. Although the president Victor Angelescu repeatedly insisted that the ultras give up these habits, the club was again sanctioned because of them.
The Disciplinary Commission of the Professional Football League decided to fine Rapid with 25,312.5 lei as a result of the use of pyrotechnic materials by the supporters from Giulești during the trip to “Dr. Constantin Rădulescu” with CFR Cluj.

“FC CFR 1907 Cluj vs. FC Rapid 1923 – Incidents – Pursuant to art. 82.2 and 3 a and c, related to art. 83.2.b of the Republic of Moldova, the club FC Rapid 1923 SA is sanctioned with a sports penalty of 25,312.5 lei”, the LPF press release states.
U Cluj was also fined the same amount, after the supporters lit torches during the derby with Craiova University, which ended in a “white” draw.
“FC Universitatea Cluj vs. Universitatea Craiova – Incidents – Pursuant to art. 82.1 and 3 a and c, related to art. 83.2.b of the RD, FC Universitatea Cluj club is sanctioned with a sports penalty of 25,312.5 lei”.

Our supporters must also understand that it is not only the amount of the fines, I personally came out several times and said what the amount is, they must understand that we cannot accept something like this anymore.
They must understand, first of all, that they are very important to us. In the sense that in Giulești the gallery and the supporters in general, not only the gallery, help us enormously. And we have indeed spoken and from now on we will take very tough measures against those who will do this.
