The All-Russian Opening Festival held in Sharypovo won the International Prize

The results of the XIV International Award in the field of event tourism RUSSIAN EVENT AWARD were summed up in Nizhny Novgorod.

The All-Russian Opening Festival, which was held for the second time in Sharypovo with the support of the government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Melnichenko Foundation and SUEK-Krasnoyarsk, took first place in the category “Best tourist event in the field of culture and art” (among cities with a population of up to 100,000 people).

This year, 473 projects from 63 regions of Russia, the Republic of Belarus and South Ossetia were submitted for the award. Only 370 works made it to the finals, including the paleontological festival from the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

The large-scale event brought together about 30 thousand people, which is more than double the number of participants last year. The venue for the event was the Dinopark under construction in Sharypovo, the only dinosaur park in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Its creation was the idea of ​​the Regional Tourism Agency and the city administration, supported by the Melnichenko Foundation and SUEK-Krasnoyarsk.

This year, thanks to the victory in the All-Russian competition for the best projects for creating a comfortable urban environment in small towns and historical settlements of the Russian Ministry of Construction, the “Dinopark” was filled with thematic play areas, full-size figures of prehistoric lizards, all kinds of interactive elements, and a “Dinocafe”.

The new landscaped area will provide an incentive for the development of small businesses in the city, which corresponds to the modern integrated approach to creating a comfortable environment in cities. And the Opening Festival, in turn, contributes to the development of tourism in the territory: the fact that Sharypovo is the birthplace of dinosaurs is already known far beyond the borders of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

Let us remind you that the Sharypovo paleontological festival is not the first time among the winners of the International RUSSIAN EVENT AWARD: at the end of 2024, it was awarded “bronze” in the category “Best tourist event in the field of popular science tourism.”
