The White House document that defines the new security strategy of the United States is “unacceptable and dangerous”, French MEP Valérie Hayer, president of the centrist group Renew Europe in the European Parliament, said on Friday, reports AFP, taken by Agerpres.
“This document is unacceptable and dangerous. The Trump administration should not interfere in our internal policies,” the French MEP reacted in a post on X.
The administration of President Donald Trump published on Friday a document that redefines the 'National Security Strategy', anticipating the “civilizational disappearance” of Europe and advocating the fight against “mass migrations”.

“This Trump administration is an enemy of Europe. We must stop being friendly with it,” added the president of the Renew Europe group.
“We don't tell other peoples how they should live and we don't accept to be given lessons”, reacted the vice-president of the Commission for Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament, Nathalie Loiseau, also from the Renew Europe group.
“There is no other possible answer than to create the conditions for a true strategic autonomy and to build a strong Europe that does not let anyone dictate its societal choices,” added the French MEP in a response to AFP.

Instead, when asked at the daily press briefing on Friday, the spokeswoman for the European Commission refused any comment on the American document. “We haven't had time to review and evaluate it yet, so we're not in a position to comment on that yet,” she said.
