Letter to TVN employees. It talks about changes

The Wirtualne Media portal published the content of the letter that TVN employees received from the CEO and president of Warner Bros. Discovery.

“Warner Bros joining Netflix and Discovery Global as a standalone company represents the strongest long-term prospects for both groups of businesses. The proposed merger of Warner Bros and Netflix has many advantages: greater choice and value for consumers, a stronger entertainment industry, greater opportunities for creative creators and long-term value creation for shareholders,” wrote David Zaslav.

The company's president said he understood the concerns resulting from the changes.

“I know this announcement raises many questions about what comes next. For some, it brings clarity on direction. For others, it raises questions about what this means for their teams and their work. All of these reactions are understandable. A transaction of this type naturally creates uncertainty and not all answers will be available immediately. Some of these will be clarified in the coming days and weeks. Others depend on regulatory processes and work that cannot begin before the separation or closing of the transaction,” he added.

Zaslav emphasized that employees will learn the details during conversations with their bosses.

“Business unit leaders will be holding discussions specific to their areas in the coming days so you can hear directly from your leader. Managers will also meet early next week to have the context and support they need to lead their teams in the early stages of this transformation,” he explained.

A special Integration Office will be established

The president of WBD also indicated the creation of a new unit in the company, which will facilitate the integration of the companies.

“The path to separating WBD into Warner Bros and Discovery Global will change. We will redirect work related to the previous operating model of the two companies and focus instead on the steps necessary to complete this transaction. In the coming days, we will establish an Integration Office that will coordinate all planning with Netflix, in accordance with regulatory requirements. Until the transaction closes, WBD and Netflix will remain separate companies,” we read in the letter posted on Wirtualne Media.

David Zaslav stressed that more information will become available over time and will be communicated on the appropriate platforms. Until then, it “asks you to continue to focus on the work needed to finish 2025, support your annual mandates, and take the opportunity to rest and regenerate over the holidays.”

“And while I can't predict every step forward, I'm confident in the strength of our brands, the talent of our teams, and the stories, journalism and experiences we will continue to deliver to audiences around the world,” Zaslav concluded.
