The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, said that next week he will be corrected “a legislative anomaly” so that the doctors employed in the public system will no longer be able to conclude their contract with the National Health Insurance House in the private environment and, therefore, can no longer direct the patients from the state to the state.

“There is a legislative anomaly by which the doctor, even if he is employed in the public system, makes his contract with the National Health Insurance House in the private environment. This anomaly led to this phenomenon. Although I have a Computer Tomograph, although I have the state -of -the -art equipment in which we invest important European funds and an important state budget, they are not receiving the hospital, Because the doctor has the contract with the National Health Insurance House with the private area, not with the public area, although he is an employee of the Public Hospital ”, said Alexandru Rogobete, on Sunday, in a press conference in Râmnicu Vâlcea.

The minister said that the legislative modification “appears next week”.

“By the legislative modification, which appears next week, this will no longer be possible. Any doctor employed in the Public Hospital makes his contract with the Health Insurance House in the public and additional environment, if he wants, after the program, he can settle in services,” the official continued.

What did he say about uninsured patients

According to the minister, they will be able to continue to benefit from certain medical services settled by the National Health Insurance House.

“First of all, all patients who are in the national programs of chronic diseases, over 14 programs, still benefit from diagnosis, treatment and investigations and medical services, whether or not they are insured. We talk about another important category of people and I refer to sewing. Chronic, so that will benefit from services, diagnoses and treatment whether or not they are insured, on the one hand.

He recalled that the government “extended the term for January 1, 2026, so practically another important category of people, patients will benefit from all services whether or not they are sewed.”

“More important than anything is that all people without income benefit from the minimum basic package, which the family doctor offers. So the basic investigations to the family doctor will be done by the uninsured persons, if they are part of the national programs – and most are – will be treated and will benefit from further treatment,” concluded Minister Alexandru Rogobete.
