The 19th stage of the Superliga started with a clear result: Oțelul Galati – Unirea Slobozia 3-0a victory that temporarily elevates the Galăți team to the play-off spot, while the Ialomist team has suffered eight consecutive defeats and is sinking further into the red zone of the standings.
For the formation prepared by Laszlo Balint (46 years old) scored: Conrado ('13), Paulinho ('21) and Andrezinho ('77).
Florin Purece, extremely tough after the match: “I have never experienced anything like this here!”
Coming in 2024 from the Poles from Nieciecza, Florin Purece (34 years old) had a sharp speech at the flash-interview, visibly affected by the team's situation:
“They had two more gears than us. We were slow. I feel humiliated, I have never experienced anything like this at this team. Last year, in League 2, we weren't like that, we were fighting for every point.”
The midfielder launched a direct appeal to management:

Purece suggested the team's problems run deeper:
“We look like a League 2 team at the moment. I have many explanations, but I can't say them on TV. I know what's going on and I feel humiliated. I feel humbled by this team and I will see what decision they make in the winter, because I still have a contract until the summer.”
Dramatic situation for Unirea Slobozia
After 19 rounds, Unirea Slobozia is provisionally in 13th place, with only 18 points, having one game more than Csikszereda, the team in 14th place.
On the other side, Oțelul Galati finishes the evening in 6th place, play-off position. The Galatians can stay there only if Farul and UTA do not win their matches in the current stage. Farul will travel to Clinceni for the match with Metaloglobus, while UTA is waiting for the visit of Ploiesti from Petrolul.
