UTA Arad – FCSB 3-0. Moments of horror in the match in group B of the Romanian Betano Cup. The young midfielder Alexandru Matei (17 years old) was seriously injured in the second half and was taken from the field on a stretcher.

Arădeni beat FCSB hard, but they could not fully enjoy this success, taking into account what happened to the young footballer sent by Mihalcea to the field in the 86th minute.

What exactly happened? In the 86th minute, at 2-0 for UTA Arad, Matei scored the first match of this season for UTA.

A few minutes after being sent on, he misstepped while running lightly without being fouled by an opponent.

He immediately laid down on the field and burst into tears. The commentator of the game from Digi Sport stated that in the worst case it could be a rupture of the cruciate ligament, which would mean that the season is over for the young midfielder.

Raised by UTA Arad, Alexandru Matei made his debut for the Aradians in the Super League in April, when he was 16 years old, in a match with Hermannstadt.

Born on January 25, 2008, Matei did not get to play for UTA in this Superliga season. It remains to be seen how serious the young footballer's injury will be or if it was just a simple scare.

Following this result, UTA is the leader in group B, with 4 points after 2 matches, followed by Craiova University, with 3 points.

FCSB is in third position, with 3 points, tied with Gloria Bistrița, who is in 4th place. Petrolul Ploiești and Sănătatea Cluj are last in this group of the Romanian Betano Cup.
