Yubileinaya Square in Sosnovoborsk was transformed after winning the All-Russian competition for the best improvement projects for small towns and historical settlements.

The Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Krasnoyarsk Territory said that the improvement of the square became possible thanks to the national project “Infrastructure for life». With federal funding, the sidewalk and lighting system were changed, a stage complex was installed, a modern play space for children was installed, and new street furniture and city swings were installed.

In the summer, a cascading fountain will operate on the lower tier of the square, and a dry fountain, the bowl of which is installed underground, will operate in the upper part.

“The competition for the best projects for the improvement of small towns and historical settlements is very prestigious. All cities strive to be among the winners, and Sosnovoborsk is great in this regard. For the townspeople, this is the second experience of winning the All-Russian competition. The first large-scale project was the Belkin House ecopark,” noted Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the region Irina Kotelnikova.

In addition to Sosnovoborsk, as part of the national project this year, new parks also appeared in the cities of Sharypovo, Sosnovoborsk, Nazarovo, Borodino, Ilansky, and Minusinsk.

Let us remind you that the All-Russian competition for the best projects for the improvement of small towns and historical settlements has been held since 2018. During this time, 16 territories were improved in the Krasnoyarsk Territory in Yeniseisk, Nazarovo, Zaozerny, Kansk, Kodinsk, Borodino, Zelenogorsk, Divnogorsk, Uzhur, Zheleznogorsk, Sosnovoborsk and Sharypovo.
