Alexandru Musi (21 years old), the player from Dinamospoke about the injury he suffered with the Romania U21 team, which was reported to have occurred due to overwork by Costin Curelea's national team staff.

Immediately after Alexandru Musi's injury, there were rumors that the footballer was forced to train. The FRF issued a statement, and Alexandru Musi presented a sequence of events similar to the one presented by the Federation.

Dinamo's footballer suspects that some people in the staff thought that he would not want to play.

Alexandru Musi spoke about the injury suffered in the Romanian U21 training camp: “You have to be crazy not to want to play for the national team”

“The recovery program is going well. I wake up in the morning, I leave for Săftica. I go to the table, and from 9:30. I start in the gym for about two hours and do strength for the leg, I'm already working on it, and with another trainer I do upper train. After that I do the treatment, I go back to the table and home. The same program always.

I had the match with Csikszereda when I played well, after that I went to the lot the next day. We recovered and trained on synthetic pitch, because they played on synthetic pitch in Finland. I got there at Buftea, I did a sprint and I felt something stronger here (no points to the thigh of the right leg). The doctors did an ultrasound and said there was nothing broken, nothing stretched, just an overuse.

On the third day I left for Finland and did not train. On the fourth day I tried to do it, but it was holding me and on the fifth day I didn't play the match against Finland. I couldn't and I hadn't trained at all, there was no way he could get me. They told me they let me recover for Spain.

These days have passed, I arrived in Sibiu for the match against Spain. I did some light recovery training with the boys, it was more ok. The second practice was better, the third even better. In the fourth, before the match, I felt a bit stronger on a shot. I think that's where it broke.

I told the staff. I don't know. Every man can give his opinion. Maybe the people there didn't believe me. Maybe they thought I didn't want to play. I don't want to get into polemics. It hurt me, that's what I felt to do, not to play. There were two strong games against Finland and Spain, and frankly you'd have to be crazy not to want to play for the U21 national team. Everyone can give their opinion and believe what they want. That's it. I really don't care.

From what I understand the leg evolved very quickly and very well. I have no more pain. Playing with FCSB is risky and I still don't know “, Alexandru Musi told 48TV.

  • Alexandru Musi came this summer to the “dogs” camp involved in an exchange between Dinamo and FCSB in which captain Dennis Politic left the red-and-white formation. The footballer integrated quickly and is the main U21 option in the group of the 3rd place Superliga team. Alexandru Musi has 17 matches for Dinamo this season, 5 goals and 3 assists. It is quoted by specialized websites at 900,000 euros.

If the plan goes well, if I do what I have to do with the preparers, I'll have another MRI next week. If it's going to be ok, I say there's a good chance you'll see me on the field by the end of 2025. I hope the year doesn't go by without me on the field, but anything can happen
