VIDEO. Adrian Mazilu, ready to impress: “I don't think I showed everything I can”

– Hello, Adi! What surprised you the most about the club when you came?
– I think the first thing that surprised me was the fans. Because until now I have not felt such a great atmosphere from the fans. When I arrived here, when I went to the stadium for the first time and saw what amazing fans there are, I said that I can't wait to get back on the field.

– What would you like to bring in your first season at Dinamo?
– I think I would like to bring points, first of all. Let's rank up there and that's the most important thing. And besides that, assists and goals, because I'm a striker and that's what I do. I'm still young, even though I've already won a championship. What was behind was, I only have to think about what I will do before. And I still have a lot to prove. I don't think I've shown my best in the past period.

– How do you see yourself in five years?
– At the moment I don't know how to give an answer. At the moment I am here at Dinamo and I hope to do my job as well as possible.

Mazilu considers Cătălin Cîrjan a true leader: “He has a winning mentality”

– Which colleague surprised you the most at Dinamo?
Cătălin Cîrjan, who has a winning mentality every time. I knew him from the national team and when I came I said: “Wow, he's a real captain.”

– Does Dinamo have the strength to win the championship this season?
– Yes, for sure, we are up there. We must hold our position. But right now we don't have to think that far. We have to take it match by match. The main objective is to enter the play-offs and after that let's take each match individually. And then we can think about the title.

– What can you promise the supporters of Dinamo?
– I can promise them that I will make a difference on the field, that I will manage to score goals, help the team with assists and make a beautiful show. Because that's what I'm going for: that the fans come to the match to see a show. And on this theme I go.

– Are you thinking about the youth national team?
– Yes, I think normally. I was there every time and I missed the national team very much. I've always thought about it. And, little by little, I hope to take the step to get there. At the moment, to have minutes here, to feel good and, after that, I hope to receive the call-up to the national team.

Adrian Mazilu signed a contract with Dinamo valid until July 2029, with an option to extend it for another competitive season.

1million euros is Adrian Mazilu's market share, according to Transfermarkt
