According to reports, the services did not allow the media to approach the venue of the presidents' meeting and were positioned several hundred meters from the entrance. “The press was completely cut off from the event, and according to a Telex correspondent, the police even threw him out of the parking lot of the St. Adalbert Conference Center. They said that they had been instructed to do so,” we read.
The correspondent of the Telex portal tried to obtain accreditation for the meeting with the heads of the V4 countries and the press conference scheduled later. However, President Sulyok's office refused him. The decision was justified by the limited number of places for journalists. “Editors of other independent media received the same response,” we read.
Telex journalists remind that talks between Karol Nawrocki and the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban, were originally supposed to take place on the sidelines of the meeting of the V4 countries. However, the President of the Republic of Poland decided to change his plans after the Hungarian politician visited Moscow last Friday, where he talked with Vladimir Putin.
“This meeting was important for Orban because the Hungarian government assessed the election victory of President Nawrocki, acting as PiS, as the result of the federal policy of the Hungarian Prime Minister and the strengthening of patriotic parties at the European level,” we read.
