EXCLUSIVE. New data from the AtlasIntel survey: Who do the most young people in Bucharest vote for and which age segment dominates in Ciucu, Băluță, Drula and Alexandrescu

The PSD candidate, Daniel Băluță, and the AUR-supported candidate, Anca Alexandrescu, are leading the race for the Capital City Hall, as they have shown the first data of the AtlasIntel survey conducted for Hotnews and published on Monday. The research also provides detailed information about the profile of the electorate: who do young people prefer, who do women or men choose more, what is the predominant level of education of the voters of a particular candidate.
Anca Alexandrescu gets more votes from women
Anca Alexandrescu is the candidate who collects the most votes of women: 23.4%, followed by Daniel Băluță – 20.4% and Ciprian Ciucu – 19.4%, Cătălin Drula – 16.7%, while Ana Ciceăla would take – 10%.
At the same time, Daniel Băluță gathers the most votes from men – 26.7%, followed by Ciucu – 24.5%, Anca Alexandrescu – 22.9% and Cătălin Drula – 14%. Ana Ciceăla would be voted for by only 6.4% of men.

The SENS candidate, Ana Ciceală, proportionally gets the most votes from young people (18-29 years old) – 40.3%.

The 30-39 years segment is led by Ciprian Ciucu (25.4%), Daniel Băluță gets the most votes from people aged between 40 and 49 years old – 27.1% and from people over 70 years old – 33.9%, while Anca Alexandrescu gathers the most options from two age categories (50-59 years old – 35.8%) and (60-69 years – 29.2%).
Baluță gets more votes from those with high school and college, Alexandrescu gets most of the votes from those with primary school
When it comes to the educational profile of the voters of each candidate, Daniel Băluță is the most voted by the people who have high school and university studies – 24.8%, respectively – 27.8%, and Anca Alexandrescu is the majority choice of those who have only finished general school – 61.8%.
People with high incomes bet more on Baluță
Depending on the material situation of those who answered the AtlasIntel questionnaire, most people with incomes below 3,000 lei/month opt for Ciprian Ciucu – 25.1%, those with incomes between 3 and 5,000 lei/month – for Anca Alexandrescu – 33.5%, as well as those who earn between 5,000 and 7,000 lei per month – 28.1%.
There are two segments of the population that, depending on the income threshold, go to Daniel Băluță. Those who earn between 7,000 and 10,000 lei/month – 29.5% and those who earn more than 10,000 lei/month – 25.4%.
The elections take place on Sunday
The elections for the Capital City Hall take place on Sunday, December 7, after the position of general mayor became vacant following the resignation of Nicușor Dan from the position. Nicușor Dan was elected president of Romania in May, after defeating George Simion in the final.
