Storing bicycles and scooters on stairwells can result in large fines for residents of apartment buildings. According to fire regulations in force since 2021, placing any objects on escape routes is prohibited.
As the head of the law firm, Vladimir Makarov, explained to Vslukh.ru, the only exceptions are those cases when things do not interfere with the free passage of residents and are not flammable.
“To store even a small bicycle that does not violate fire safety regulations, but is not liked by the neighbors, it is necessary to obtain their written consent,” the expert clarified.
Violators of fire safety rules will face an administrative fine of 5 to 15 thousand rubles. In addition, things left in the common corridor attract insects and rodents, creating sanitary problems for the entire entrance.
