An influx of tourists from China to the south of the Krasnoyarsk Territory is possible as part of “red tourism” tours to Shushenskoye with the development of small aviation. This opinion was expressed to TASS by the co-chairman of the regional branch of Business Russia in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the general director of the consulting company Siberian Financial System, Valentin Bogomolov.

“Red tourism” is a popular tourism destination in China associated with visiting memorable places associated with the history of the communist movement in the PRC and the Russian Federation. In the south of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, 500 km from Krasnoyarsk, there is the village of Shushenskoye, where the Shushenskoye Museum-Reserve operates, originally created in memory of Lenin’s exile.

“Bring organized groups of Chinese tourists to visit Shushenskoye, Krasnoyarsk, and then take them by bus to the south of the region for 7-8 hours or by train for 12 hours? This won't suit them. Chinese tourists are accustomed to fast travel and comfort. The solution to the problem could be small aviation and mass flights from Krasnoyarsk to Shushenskoye, especially since there is an airport, but there is no aircraft fleet yet,” notes Bogomolov.

According to him, in order to attract new tourists in this direction, it is also necessary to expand the number of locations that would be of interest to Chinese citizens. So, one of such locations could be Krasnoyarsk, which was visited by Chinese leader Mao Zedong in the 50s of the last century. But this proposal requires an advertising and information campaign among Chinese tourists.
