Another Russian ship on fire
The Turkish General Directorate for Maritime Affairs reported on Tuesday that the Russian vessel Midvolga 2, sailing from Russia to Georgia, was attacked in the Black Sea.
This time the attacked ship was not carrying oil, but sunflower oil, reported the Turkish portal Haberler. The attack occurred 80 nautical miles (148 km) from shore.
The crew of the Midwolga 2 ship reported that the condition of 13 people on board was good and the engines of the unit were working. The tanker changed course and headed for Sinope, a city in northern Turkey – reported Turkiye Today.
The shadow fleet are old ships transporting Russian crude oil, which the Kremlin uses to sell the raw material at prices higher than the limit set by international sanctions for Russia's aggression against Ukraine.
