Five players from the Hungarian women's national handball team prefaced the next World Championship duel on December 3 with Romania. For our national team, the calculations are clear: straight wins in the next 3 matches and we would advance to the quarterfinals.
Ranked in second place in group A of the Women's World Handball Championship, Romania will continue to face, in the first main group, the teams that advanced from group B. It is, in this order, about Hungary, Switzerland and Senegal.
As the Hungarians entered the main group with 4 points, and Romania with only two, those related to the victory against Japan, Ovidiu Mihăilă's students must win all the matches to be sure of qualifying for the quarters.
The first test promises to be even the most difficult. On December 3, the “tricolors” will face the Hungarian national team, bronze medalist at the 2024 European Championship.
