Already today from this industry, also double use, generates PLN 113 billion, this is the arms industry only in the province. Silesian – emphasized the deputy prime minister. He added that the Polish army needs the best equipment, and the government wants to buy it in Polish plants and companies.
The deputy prime minister also pointed out that the army's needs will evolve as changes on the battlefield and tactics, as exemplified by experience from Ukraine, which is why flexibility in the signed contracts is necessary. As he assessed, in the present dangerous times such contracts as the one signed on Thursday, putting on Polish suppliers and independence are security guarantees. He thanked the Polish arms group and armament agency, which serves contracts for hundreds of billions of zlotys.
The contract for the supply of over 1266 off -road vehicles for the Polish Army was signed on Thursday: Head of the Armament Agency Brig. Artur Kuptel, president of the Polish Armaments Group Adam Leszkiewicz and by Rosomak SA Cezary Dominiak. Deputy Minister of State Asset Konrad Gołota said during the ceremony that a great process of modernizing the Polish army was underway. – After 30 years, when our arms industry underwent various fate and situations in the arms facility were different. Today we invest everywhere, we are developing more production lines, we offer new products – he said. The Legan vehicle described as “a bodybuilder who will lead a Polish soldier.” – The mass is already there, because up to 7 tons of total mass, and the sculpture can be free depending on what the armed forces need – added Gołota. He declared that the legwanów would be created as much as Poland would need.
Gen. Kuptel pointed out that the Thursday agreement does not exhaust the needs of the armed forces and talks are underway on new ways of using chassis on which the legs are built and further contracts for modern equipment from Siemianowice Śląskie can be expected – “safe for the user, dangerous for the opponent”.
President Dominiak assessed that the contract signed on Thursday is another big step in the development of his company, enables its diversification of activities and building new competences. He pointed out that Rosomak plants have the right to create versions of specialized legs, broad modernization and modifications, which will be the subject of subsequent conversations.
President Leszkiewicz expressed the hope that a large part of the funds allocated to defense will stay in the Polish arms industry. “If it were a minimum of 50 percent, it would be great, we strive,” he said. As he said, Rosomak plants are an example that the Polish arms industry can produce world -high -valued products. – We have produced over 900 armored vehicles and we are also able to look for new niches, just like Legans – added the head of PGZ. Speaking of recent actions in the field of defense, he mentioned, among others with a contract worth mobile communication centers worth PLN 2 billion, a contract for passive radars worth approximately PLN 6 billion and work on anti -defense systems, in cooperation with private companies.
