Andrei Nicolescu, the president of Dinamo, made a statement that the red-white fans might not like very much. He identified a match that would be more important for his team than the derby with FCSB.

After today's match with Oțelul, scheduled for 20:45, Dinamo will have the match in the Romanian Cup. The “Dogs” play on Wednesday, December 3, at the Lighthouse field. Then, Zeljko Kopic's team will face the great rival FCSB in the championship (December 6, 20:30).

Andrei Nicolescu is of the opinion that in this season's economy, the Cup match with Farul is more important than the match with FCSB.

Andrei Nicolescu: “The match with Farul is more important than the one with FCSB”

“The match in Constanța on Wednesday is very important for us. I see it a little more important, maybe Dinamo supporters will not agree, than the match against FCSB next Saturday.

In this year's construction, yes, there is only one championship game, and that is a Cup game out of three, which may or may not take you further. It could take us to the area where we don't qualify from this group,” said Andrei Nicolescu, according to orangesport.ro.

After the first stage of the Cup, Dinamo takes first place in group D, which also includes Hermannstadt, Farul, Botoșani, Concordia and CS Dinamo. In the previous match, Kopic's team beat CS Dinamo 3-1.

In the championship, the “dogs” are in 4th place after the first 17 stages, with 31 points. In the round match with FCSB, Dinamo prevailed at home with a score of 4-3.

I calculated about 6-7 points lost this year due to huge misses. Kopic texted me at 2:30 in the morning that I lost a lot of points this year and I said yes, about 6.

Now after the MRI it looks like Armstrong is two weeks away, looks like it's not as clear as we thought. He is optimistic to play with FCSB, but I don't think so.
