Elias Charalambous, the coach of the FCSB team, spoke about the situation of Siyabonga Ngezana, a central defender who has committed several mistakes in recent games.
The Cameroonian made a decisive mistake with the goal by which Steaua Roșie Belgrade prevailed over the Romanian champions in the main phase of the Europa League. Asked if Ngezana will have been removed from the first “11” for the match with Farul, Charalambous commented on his situation.
“He has some accumulated fatigue, but it's normal. He's been playing for two years match by match. It's normal to feel fatigue at some point. We have one more day, we'll see. Whoever is more rested will play tomorrow.
We don't have to put all the pressure or all the blame on Ngezana. When the team doesn't go well, I'm primarily to blame. You have to blame me, not Ngezana. I am the culprit! Stop just talking about Ngezana, it is not fair to put him on the wall.
Ngezana told me that he feels tired, but I don't know where you got any other information because I spoke to him personally. If I talk to a player and then it appears in the press, it's a problem, for sure,” said Charalambous at the press conference, according to digisport.ro.
Farul Constanța – FCSB will take place on Sunday, from 20:30. The hosts occupy 6th place, the last of the play-offs, with 26 points, while the defending champions are 10th, with 21 points.
