Ignat spoke about the attack on Kyiv and how often the Russian Federation has the opportunity to launch massive attacks on Ukraine

When asked by the presenter how quickly the Russian Federation can carry out repeated attacks, since it uses quite a significant number of missiles and drones, Ignat said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have statistics.

According to him, such massive attacks occur consistently once or twice a week, which indicates that Russia has the necessary means, which the aggressor country itself produces.

He stressed that, despite the fires at Russian defense factories, attacks continue, especially in the autumn-winter period.

“That’s why we always turn to our Western partners. […] We understand that without this it would be difficult to defend the country with such shelling as was actually demonstrated today,” Ignat added.

The speaker emphasized that during the attack on November 29 on Kyiv and the region there were direct arrivals of both drones and missiles, as well as damage from the fall of downed enemy air attack weapons.

“Thus, one of the biggest attacks, say, on Kyiv, because everyone asks the question what is such a record or not a record. We also had large numbers in Ukraine for attack means. It was about 840 drones and missiles. Well, today why was it very difficult for air defense to work – because indeed most of the means, basically everything, went towards the Kyiv region and the city itself. 632 targets were recorded. […] But at the end of the day, this is a huge attack. When all this flies to, like this, local territory, I mean, to the Kyiv region, it is extremely difficult for everyone to work – both for the means that are detected and for the people who are sitting at their jobs. These are radio technical troops,” he explained.

Ignat emphasized that today there were ballistics, and “Daggers,” as well as cruise and aircraft missiles and drones of various types, so making quick, correct decisions and using this or that weapon for usually short periods of time is very difficult.

“Therefore, the result that we have today is unprecedented intensive work by all components of the defense forces that are part of the state’s air defense system,” he concluded.
