Many people love plum jam, but few people know that with chocolate it turns out even more amazingly tasty and aromatic. The thick plum and chocolate “brew” will not leave anyone indifferent. Even strawberry jam will lose to such deliciousness, especially store-bought jam. The author of the blog “Let’s Cook Now” (12+) shared a simple recipe on the Zen platform (12+).
Ingredients:
- Pitted plums – 1 kg
- Sugar – 600 g
- Cocoa powder – 40 g
Optional:
- Cinnamon – 1 stick
- Nuts – 50 grams
How to cook:
Wash the plums, cut them in half and remove the pits. Place everything in a large saucepan and add sugar. Leave for 5-6 hours to allow the fruits to release their juice.
After 6 hours, place the container on the fire and bring to a boil. Add a cinnamon stick if desired. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes, but stir occasionally.
Add cocoa and optional nuts, mix everything. Cook for another 15 minutes to prevent the jam from burning. And mix well again.
Remove the cinnamon and pour the hot jam into clean, sterilized jars. Close the lids and turn the jars upside down for 5 minutes.
Important: before sealing, be sure to rinse and boil the jars and lids.
