At the IX Siberian Anti-Corruption Forum taking place in Krasnoyarsk, strategies for strengthening anti-corruption security and the inevitability of responsibility for the illegal enrichment of officials were discussed.

Regional prosecutor Roman Tyutyunik said that in 2025, more than 500 corruption crimes were registered in the region – this is a third more than in 2024. More than 37% came from commercial organizations, 13.4% from law enforcement agencies and 8.4% from executive authorities.

It is noted that the fight against corruption is now at a new level. Courts, based on claims by prosecutors, turn into state income all the wealth obtained as a result of the crime – 1.5 trillion rubles were returned this year alone. In 2025, in the region, the value of corrupt property converted into state income through prosecutors’ claims amounted to over 38.4 million rubles (last year – 24.3 million rubles).

“A corrupt official today loses everything he acquired illegally – from apartments and cars to business. The anti-corruption lawsuit of the prosecutor has become a tool that destroys the pyramid of illegal enrichment to the foundation… In modern realities, it will not be possible to “pray” for an act of corruption; the corrupt official will lose everything,” warned Roman Tyutyunik.

The regional prosecutor also added that corruption schemes are becoming more sophisticated, but this stimulates the law enforcement system to improve methods of identifying violations and “be head and shoulders above criminals”:

“The starting mechanism can even be word of mouth, word of mouth, TG channels and the media, and, of course, our painstaking work on objects of increased attention. Therefore, before committing an act of corruption, you should think 18 times; its consequences in the form of loss of personal and family well-being will remain with the corrupt official forever. We don't punish – we warn. No “connections” or schemes will save you from responsibility. Everything acquired dishonestly will be returned to the state. The fight against corruption is not a campaign, but a course of the country. Law, conscience and justice will always be stronger than personal gain.”
