North Korea presented a new “multi -purpose”, equipped with “the most powerful weapon” destroyer for the Navy, named Choe Hyon in honor of the deceased revolutionary fighter – said the KCNA agency on Saturday. Kim Jong Un stated that the destroyer would strengthen the ability to “accurately defend maritime sovereignty” and is “an important step towards maritime power.” He emphasized that “the strength to aggression is directly proportional to the deterrence force” and announced the construction of further ships of this class, larger cruisers and escort ships, as well as the development of “atomic submarines”.
