In Krasnoyarsk, under the project of the United Russia party “New School”, a large-scale renovation of educational institutions continues. In the “Quiet Dawns” microdistrict in the Sverdlovsk district of Krasnoyarsk, construction of a new school for 1,550 places is underway. It will become the second largest beyond the Urals
The progress of work at the site was checked by Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Ilya Zaitsev. Together with the head of the administration of the Sverdlovsk district of Krasnoyarsk, Liliya Nazmutdinova, representatives of the contractor and the customer, they inspected the school buildings and the surrounding area, and discussed important issues arising during construction.
Work began in 2024, and the facility is now about 50% complete. The installation of reinforced concrete structures, roofs and floors has been completed, the building facades have been insulated, heat has been supplied to some of the buildings and rough work has been carried out.
Ilya Zaitsev emphasized that all stages of work must be completed on time – by September 1, 2026:
“Our priority remains the same, the secretary of the regional branch of the United Russia party, the governor of the region, Mikhail Kotyukov, set a task and we are trying very hard to fulfill it – on September 1, 2026, the school should open to students. At the moment, the most complex and time-consuming work has been completed – the foundation, walls, in some places inside the premises the contractor is already ready to go in for finishing work, the laying of floors has begun. In general, we are still going strictly according to plan. We solved the problems that existed at the initial stage regarding the relationship between the contractor and the customer. Certain questions remain regarding the area around the school. This is another task set by the governor; you need to think not only within the boundaries of the site, but also about how the space around the school, access roads and approaches to the school will be organized. Having already had some experience, within the framework of the implementation of the party project “New School”, we think through not only the overall picture, but also the smallest details. We choose finishing materials and colors together with parents, discuss the features of the sports ground, all this is now in active work. I really hope that on September 1st the first bell will ring here and the educational process will begin. Residents are looking forward to the opening and are watching the construction. The work is carried out on weekends and holidays, and we don’t stop to complete the task.”
The new school will reduce the burden on existing educational institutions and reduce the number of children forced to travel to other neighborhoods to study. The new school will have several gyms, an assembly hall, a catering unit, workshops, a music studio and facilities for after-school groups. A football field will be built on the school grounds and running tracks and playgrounds will be installed.
“This is the largest school being built in the Sverdlovsk region. We really need her. At the moment, more than 15 thousand residents live in the microdistrict; children are forced to go to school on Pashenny, in the Oktyabrsky district, school 34. Of course, we organized this process, the movement of school buses. But we are really looking forward to the school, and through joint efforts at such headquarters we are resolving emerging issues so that there are no delays behind the schedule. We hope that on September 1, 2026 we will solemnly open our new school,” said Liliya Nazmutdinova, head of the administration of the Sverdlovsk district of Krasnoyarsk.
Let us note that the construction of new schools is one of the priorities of the people's program of United Russia. The Krasnoyarsk Territory is actively participating in the federal project “New School”; more than 361 billion rubles are allocated for education in the region’s budget for 2026-2028; the priority is the modernization and renovation of schools and buildings of secondary vocational education institutions, meals for schoolchildren, and the construction of kindergartens. 28 schools are planned to be built and reconstructed over a three-year period in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
