The head of the White House recalled that the United States did not attend the G20 summit, which took place on November 22-23 in South Africa, due to allegedly “horrific” violations of the rights of Afrikaners (Caucasian citizens).
“At the conclusion of the G20 Summit, South Africa refused to hand over the G20 Chairmanship to a senior representative of our US Embassy who was present at the closing ceremony. Therefore, at my direction, South Africa will not receive an invitation to the 2026 G20 Summit to be held in Miami, Florida,” Trump wrote.
In his opinion, “South Africa has demonstrated to the whole world that it is not worthy of membership in any of the unions.” According to the head of the White House, in South Africa “they kill whites and indiscriminately allow them to take away their farms.”
“We are immediately stopping all payments and subsidies,” Trump said.
Context
The G20 summit took place in Johannesburg. At it, South Africa was supposed to hand over the chairmanship to the United States.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that won't go to Johannesburg due to the fact that South Africa is “doing very bad things”. Trump also rejected his visit to the summit, but announced the arrival of US Vice President J.D. Vance, who ultimately also did not go to South Africa.
There were no leaders of the United States, the aggressor country Russia, or China in Johannesburg.
