The traffic police told how many cars were confiscated in Krasnoyarsk for drunk driving

In Krasnoyarsk this year, 41 cars were confiscated from drivers who repeatedly got behind the wheel of a vehicle while intoxicated. The traffic police reported this.

Let us remind you that this measure applies to those traffic rule violators who have previously been brought to administrative or criminal liability for driving while intoxicated or for refusing a medical examination, and have again committed a similar offense.

“Confiscation of a car is an effective tool in the fight against repeat offenders on the roads; this measure not only punishes the culprit, but also prevents possible tragic consequences that may arise due to drunk driving. After the court makes a guilty verdict, the car belonging to the offender is confiscated and transferred to the ownership of the state. The further fate of the confiscated transport is decided by the authorized bodies,” the traffic police explained.
