The Borodino Loading and Transport Department has completed an investment project to update the heating system at key production facilities.
In the conditions of Siberian winters, the issue of reliable heat in production is a necessary condition for uninterrupted operation, preservation of equipment and, most importantly, the safety and health of people. The Borodino Loading and Transport Department (a branch of JSC SUEK – Krasnoyarsk) solved this problem at the modern level. A project to modernize the heating system in the track and locomotive service buildings was successfully implemented here.
New air-heating units were installed in the locomotive and car repair depot buildings, in the electric locomotive repair depot, as well as in the mechanical workshop, garages of track machines and special equipment. By the way, all construction and installation work was carried out without disrupting the technological process. The work of these critical areas took place as usual, which indicates a high level of organization and coordination between BPTU employees and the contractor.
“Investment programs at our enterprise are constantly being implemented, we try to keep up with the times,” explains the chief power engineer – head of the energy department of the production and technical service of the Borodino Vocational School, Yuri Mostovoy. “After all, today in our rapidly changing world, many new things appear every day that can improve the production process and make it more efficient. As for the heating system, according to generally accepted standards, we need to maintain a certain temperature regime for employees, and the previous equipment was no longer fully capable of coping with this task. It’s time to replace the entire system with a more modern one.”
The contractor carried out modernization based on modern fan heaters. These devices are complex air-heating units that provide fast and uniform heating of large rooms. An important detail is that the fan motors are three-speed. This allows you to flexibly adjust the heating intensity depending on weather conditions and time of day, saving energy. Powering the units from a standard 220V network also simplifies their operation.
When implementing the project, special attention was paid not only to the technical, but also to the environmental component. The contractor's specialists ensured full compliance with legal requirements, taking all necessary measures to protect the environment and rational use of resources. This approach is fully consistent with the Company’s corporate policy in the field of sustainable development.
Modernization of the heating system at the Borodino Vocational Technical School is a comprehensive step that made it possible to increase the reliability of heat supply to important production facilities, increase energy efficiency, and create comfortable and safe working conditions for the company’s employees.
Systemic investments in infrastructure modernization directly affect the stability and economic efficiency of one of the key enterprises of the fuel and energy complex of the region.
