RegioJet, which entered the Polish railway market with momentum, announcing real competition with PKP, has just suffered two serious mishaps. The first one was felt by some passengers of the Krakow-Warsaw route, who had to cancel their tickets; on Wednesday, it was announced that the start of the Warsaw-Poznań connection would be delayed by 3 months. The carrier's customers are outraged, but the carrier reassures them that the injured parties will receive their money back.

In September, the Czech carrier RegioJet started its first pilot courses on the Krakow – Warsaw route. November 24 this year some people traveling between these cities in the morning received an SMS that wagon 4 would not be provided in Krakow, and passengers should cancel their tickets and choose another means of transport. The message was sent around 8:42, when the train was scheduled to leave at 9:19, and was written in Czech, according to information from the Onet Podróże portal.
Passengers outraged by SMS from RegioJet
News about the entire situation appeared among users of the RegioJet Polska group on Facebook. Outraged passengers wrote that the situation effectively discouraged them from using the carrier's services, pointing out that the message was sent too late. Some people declared that from now on they would choose Intercity trains, others pointed out that the SMS was not even in Polish, and there were also doubts that it was the customers who had to cancel the tickets, not RegioJet itself.
Passengers will receive a refund
RegoJet representative Lukáš Kubát confirmed the entire incident in a statement to Onet Podróże, explaining that the Czech language in the SMS appeared as a result of a mistake. The lack of a carriage and the fact that the train was completely full made it impossible to transfer passengers, so they were offered alternatives, such as traveling standing up. People who decided to use another train can receive a refund of the difference between the ticket price at RegioJet and the price from the selected carrier, while others can count on a refund of the cost of the unused ticket.
The Warsaw – Poznań route is delayed
For passengers who were counting on traveling with RegioJet from Warsaw to Poznań in December, the carrier has an unpleasant surprise. Although on December 14 this year the Kraków-Warsaw-Gdynia and Warsaw-Ostrava-Prague connections will start, the route from Warsaw to Poznań will start only in February 2026. The delay is due to problems with the central operational base and the extension of negotiations regarding access to the railway infrastructure.
