CTP's reaction to the scandal of Ionuț Moșteanu's diploma: “A fake private faculty, involved in scandals with fake diplomas”

“I wouldn't have written anything today. But I confess that what I see in Moșteanu's CV, 3 years of Automatica, a 5-year college, which the undersigned graduated in 1981, makes me cringe. I'm curious: what the hell did this party profiteer (who supported E. Lasconi for months, then switched in 24 hours to Nicușor Dan) do at Automatica from Bucharest, one of the strongest and most serious educational institutions in Romania?”, CTP stated.

He criticized Moșteanu for the “grotesque failure of the operation to mobilize the reservists” and for refusing to publicly transmit the amount with which Romania has helped Ukraine so far.

“It seems phenomenal to me the way this person lies live, without blinking, that's because he's also stupid. How could it be otherwise, if we think about how he tried to justify the grotesque failure of the operation to mobilize the reservists or the refusal to communicate to the public opinion the amount with which Romania has helped Ukraine so far?“, he continues.

CTP also mentions the fact that Moșteanu claims to have graduated from the private Bioterra college, “involved in fake degree scandals”but this does not appear in his CV; instead Athenaeum Management appears, established long after the period in which he would have studied.

“I don't know how many times I've heard him say on TV that he graduated from a fake private college, Bioterra, involved in scandals with fake diplomas. He claims that he is not ashamed of it, of bioterra. And now there is no Bioterra in his CV, but one Athenaeum Management, which was established 20 years later after its alleged attendance by Moșteanu. He is like a citizen, whom he calls Prostu Ion, would make a request to the Population Register to have his name changed to Prostu Vasile.

Pathetic how USR leaders are now canonizing themselves to explain this ordinary lie. And this individual is supposed to defend Romania…”concludes CTP.

“In a CV made in 2016 at speed on a model on the net there was a mistake”

Libertatea has published an investigation about the official CV of the Minister of Defense, Ionuț Moșteanu, from the period when he held positions in the central administration, as an advisor to the Ministry of Transport and member positions in the boards of directors of some state companies that, at that time, required higher education.

In his CV, he mentioned that he studied Management at the Athenaeum University between 1996-2000, but the university confirms that Moșteanu was not a student and that the respective program was only authorized in 2020.

Later, in a right of reply, Moșteanu reacted on Facebook after the publication of the investigation.

I completed the faculty in 2015 with the bachelor's exam and obtained the diploma at Bioterra, Faculty of Engineering and Agrotourism Management, Profile – economic engineering, Specialty – managerial engineering.

I worked for 20 years in Romanian and multinational companies, I had my own business, I continuously learned how to do things better and keep an eye on the goal. In December 2015, I joined the technocrat government as a ministerial advisor to help. The salary then was a little over 2,000 lei. Since then my life is public”.

“In a CV made in 2016 at speed on a model on the net there was a mistake that I admit embarrasses me. I didn't pay much attention to these details at the time. For that I apologize”, commented the Minister of Defense.
