Zbigniew Ziobro on trial? This is the position of the Poles [SONDAŻ]


The vice-president of Law and Justice, Zbigniew Ziobro, has been in Budapest for several weeks. His departure to the Hungarian capital took place after the prosecutor's office submitted a request to the Sejm to bring the politician to court and consent to provisional arrest. The decision in this case is to be made at the court hearing scheduled for December 22.

Survey on Zbigniew Ziobro
Pollster Research Institute, commissioned by “Super Express”, asked Poles about the former Minister of Justice. The vast majority would like him to explain the crimes he was accused of in court.
- 72 percent respondents are in favor of such a solution;
- 14 percent is of the opposite opinion;
- 14 percent has no opinion on this subject.
The survey was conducted by the Pollster Research Institute on November 15-17, 2025 using the CAWI method on a sample of 1,003 adult Poles.

What is the Zbigniew Ziobro case about?
The prosecutor's office requested the consent of the Sejm to bring 26 charges against MP Zbigniew Ziobro, to take him for questioning, and possibly detain him and arrest him. In short: prosecutors claim that an organized criminal group operated within the Ministry of Justice and was allegedly led by a former minister.
According to investigators, he ordered subordinates who would win certain competitions for money from the fund before they were announced. To maintain appearances, the winners indicated in the pre-race actually prepared competition offers, but Ziobro's ministry allegedly favored them.
