The farmer from Sandomierz must distribute peppers. The harvest will break differently

Maciej Siekiera, a farmer from Gałkowice near Sandomierz (Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship), decided to share his pepper with anyone who is ready to come and collect it on their own. In an emotional recording, which was published by the politician Damian Żurawski, invited those willing to his field. “I don't even want a zloty for it, if someone wants to come, I will gladly even help,” he said.
The ax admitted that the situation on the vegetable market is becoming more and more dramatic. As he explained in an interview with the O2 portal, the cost of a collection of peppers is higher than potential revenues. “The cost of the collection is overwhelming sales,” the farmer explained, emphasizing that his pepper was grown naturally, without the use of pesticides and chemistry.
The farmer has a field with an area of 4 ha, where he cultivates not only peppers, but also potatoes and onions. Unfortunately, as he admitted, also in the case of these vegetables the financial situation leaves much to be desired.
The farmer gives up crops. The farm has been in his family for generations
Maciej Siekiera has calculated that to pay the employee a fair rate for a working day – about PLN 300 – must sell min. 40 kg of pepper. Meanwhile, the processing plants are less and less often deciding to buy, and the vegetable production cycle lasts from March to December, which further complicates the financial situation of such farmers like him.

The farmer's appeal was not unanswered. From the morning, the first people willing to harvest paprika began to appear on his farm in Gałkowice. The ax admits that interest has exceeded his expectations. “I did not put it in order to earn, but so that the pepper would not break,” he explained.
The farmer took over the farm after his father and grandfather, but the current situation on the vegetable market prompted him to reflect. “The profitability is over. We will not run a farm” – said the ax, quoted by O2.

This is another situation when a Polish farmer is asking for help in harvesting, which is threatened with corruption. Recently, Mr. Damian, a farmer from Hungary in Lower Silesia, had to get rid of 11 tons of plums that were not received by the contractor. Thanks to the shares organized on the Internet, the entire collections were sold, and the farmer did not suffer financial losses, which could reach up to 36,000. zloty.
