Grzegorz Ksepko at the National Council of the Judiciary. President Karol Nawrocki presented the nomination


Grzegorz Ksepko, lawyer and long-time vice president of Energa SA, joined the National Council of the Judiciary by decision of President Karol Nawrocki. As reported by the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, the decision on appointment was signed on November 6, 2025, and the act was presented during the meeting on November 25, 2025.

Grzegorz Piotr Ksepko, born on January 22, 1977 in Gdańsk, is a law graduate at the University of Gdańsk, where he graduated in 2001. After passing the prosecutor's examination in 2004 and being entered on the list of attorneys in 2005, he started his career in the renowned law firm Głuchowski Siemiątkowski Zwara i Partnerzy, where in 2010 he achieved position of senior partner.
In his professional practice, he specialized in commercial company law, services for entrepreneurs, criminal law, criminal-fiscal law, civil law, administrative law, as well as in issues related to the oil and energy sectors. In the years 2003-2007, he sat on the Supervisory Board of the Pomerania Development Agency and for many years served as vice-president of Energa SA, until 2020.

Before Ksepka, Maciej Krzyżanowski, who was appointed in January 2024 by Andrzej Duda, Karol Nawrocki's predecessor as president, served as the president's representative in the National Council of the Judiciary.
National Council of the Judiciary. Structure and functions
The National Council of the Judiciary, in accordance with the constitution, consists of 25 members. It includes, among others: First President of the Supreme Court, Minister of Justice, President of the Supreme Administrative Court, persons elected by the Sejm and Senate and the representative of the President.
A member appointed by the president serves without a specified term of office, but his or her mandate expires no later than three months after the end of the president's term of office or when the office becomes vacant.

The Council is crucial to the independence of courts and judges, which is emphasized in the constitution. Her duties include, among others: giving opinions on candidates for judicial positions, considering draft legal acts relating to the judiciary, applying to the Constitutional Tribunal in matters of compliance of normative acts with the constitution, as well as expressing opinions on the dismissal of presidents and vice-presidents of courts.
