Zelensky noted that the document still needs to be refined. “There is still something to work on together – it is very difficult – to prepare the final document. And it must be done with dignity. And we appreciate that most of the world is ready to help us, and the American side is constructive. Yesterday, meetings lasted practically all day – it was difficult, extremely detailed work,” he emphasized.

Peace plan for Ukraine. Zelensky: we will not be an obstacle to peace

Zelensky said that the Ukrainian team presented a report on a new project of activities during the talks in Geneva. “(…) I will discuss sensitive issues with President (US Donald) Trump. Ukraine will never be an obstacle to peace – it is our principle, common principle, and millions of Ukrainians count on and deserve peace. We will do everything to achieve it, we are ready to work as quickly as possible,” Zelensky emphasized.

The Trump administration presented a 28-point peace plan to President Zelensky last week and is pressuring him to accept it by Thursday at the latest.

The plan was perceived as benefiting Russia, although American officials warn that it may still be subject to change. European leaders responded to the US plan on Sunday by presenting their version of the project. The proposal introduces some modifications to the American proposal, including: on limiting the size of the Ukrainian army and assumes guarantees similar to those in Art. 5 NATO.
