The volume of consumer loans issued in 2025 decreased by 48%

The volume of consumer loans issued for 10 months of 2025 decreased by 48.1% compared to the same period in 2024; during this period, 16 million loans were issued in the amount of 2.53 billion rubles, the Scoring Bureau press service reported to TASS.
According to the credit history bureau, the average amount of a consumer loan increased by 6% compared to 2024 and at the end of October 2025 amounted to 160.4 thousand rubles. And the average term of a consumer loan issued increased by 0.1% and amounted to 26.4 months.
At the same time, the volume of car loans issued for 10 months of 2025 decreased by 33.9% compared to the same period in 2024. During this period, 951.8 thousand car loans were issued in the amount of 1,289 billion rubles. The average car loan amount at the end of October 2025 increased by 9.5% compared to last year and amounted to 1,499 thousand rubles. And the average term of an issued car loan was 68.3 months (-1.8% by October 2024).
In addition, over the 10 months of 2025, the volume of credit card issuance also decreased – by 51.1% compared to the same period in 2024; during this period, 10.9 million credit cards were issued for 1,118 billion rubles. The average limit on credit cards decreased by 24% and on average at the end of October 2025 amounted to 85.5 thousand rubles.
