The Odessa Police Department denied claims that a drone hit a residential building

“I want to reassure people: the information about Shahed hitting a residential building in Odessa is not true. The shelling was directed at critical infrastructure, which caused power outages in Odessa,” Kiper said.

He added that for more than three weeks, Odessa and the region have been attacked daily by attack drones and ballistic missiles. The enemy’s goal is to increase pressure on the civilian population and cause a complete blackout, as was the case in 2023-2024.

In addition, the head of the OBA called on Odessa residents not to film videos on the beaches during the downing of drones and to maintain a safe shelter.

“This is extremely dangerous. Even a shrapnel or shock wave can be fatal. During an air raid, you need to move to cover. No video is worth the risk of your life,” Kiper said.
