In Krasnoyarsk, the driver of a foreign car received a year of restriction of freedom for an accident with serious consequences. This was reported by the joint press service of the regional courts.

It all happened on April 27, 2024 on Sverdlovskaya Street. The driver of the Hyundai Creta was driving in the rightmost lane from Bazaiskaya Street in the direction of Matrosova Street. He did not take care to take the necessary extreme position in advance and began to rearrange himself in order to turn around. During the maneuver, a man driving a foreign car interfered with a Motoland XV250-B motorcycle, which was traveling in the same direction in the left lane and had the right of way. As a result, a collision occurred.

As a result of the accident, the passenger of the motorcycle received injuries classified as grievous bodily harm, dangerous to life and health.

The Sverdlovsk District Court of Krasnoyarsk found the driver of the Hyundai Creta guilty under Part 1 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (nviolation of traffic rules resulting in negligence causing grievous harm human health). He was sentenced to 1 year of restriction of freedom.
