Ana Ciceală, the SENS candidate for the Capital City Hall, declared on Europa FM on Tuesday that the “good collaboration” between her and President Nicușor Dan “will continue”, avoiding to comment on the appearance of the former general mayor at the USR event to launch Cătălin Drula's candidacy.

Asked if the president asked her to withdraw from the race, the SENS candidate denied: “No, and I can assure you that he would never ask me to do such a thing. I have known him for so many years.”

Ana Ciceală said that the relations between her and Nicușor Dan are “as good as usual”.

“We worked together, in his close team, for 10 years. I was at the Save Bucharest Association before I entered politics. Together with others, I founded a party, the Save Bucharest Union, in August 2015. I worked in the majority and as a team for the last four years at the Capital City Hall, I was the president of the environmental committee,” she added.

When she was asked if Nicușor Dan's picture with Cătălin Drula disappointed her, Ana Ciceăla said that she did not want to comment and that, in her opinion, “there are all kinds of campaign actions, campaign activities”.

Then asked if she was disappointed that Nicușor Dan didn't take a picture with her or other candidates, Ana Ciceală answered: “I didn't invite him, but I can assure you that our good collaboration will continue. There are many things that connect us and that we care about, projects that belong to Bucharest, belong to the people of Bucharest, and I am convinced that it will be, as it has been in the last 10 years, a close collaboration.”

Ana Ciceală mentioned that people around her “had discussions” with USR, but claims that Drula did not ask her to withdraw.
