One of the founders of AUR attacks Anca Alexandrescu after the party paid 450,000 euros for a single two-hour broadcast of the current candidate. “Commercial interest”

“Do you think Anca Alexandrescu is a candidate who looks like us or has anything to do with conservatism?” said Claudiu Târziu, who left AUR after years of being one of the party's most important figures.
“Anca Alexandrescu made her career in the PSD and then pursued this segment that is fashionable, sovereignism. All this orientation was also done with commercial interest, as shown by the money paid by AUR in Reality TV”, said Claudiu Târziu for Știri pe Surse, asked to comment on the elections in Bucharest.
Târziu's statement comes after the investigative website Snoop revealed that AUR paid 450,000 euros for an edition of the show produced by Anca Alexandrescu, and AEP filed a criminal complaint.
The criminal complaint was made by AEP because, according to the Authority, AUR paid without receiving, in return, the advertising that Realitatea Plus had promised it in the contract.
AEP filed a criminal complaint because AUR did not receive the advertising it paid for
In George Simion's spring 2024 campaign, AUR paid 5 million euros for Realitatea Plus. There was a day when Realitatea Plus invoiced 1 million euros.
Of the 5 million euros, only 1.5 million were services provided by Realitatea Plus, and the remaining 3.5 euros were billed for nothing, without AUR having received the promised publicity, claims AEP.
“A private television has the right to set whatever rates it wants!”, said Anca Alexandrescu after the Snoop investigation. For his part, George Simion said that he will contest the observations of AEP in court and will further demand the reimbursement from the budget of the 5 million euros paid by AUR to Realitatea Plus.

Late: “We don't support anyone because we don't have anyone to support”
“Do you think that Anca Alexandrescu is a candidate who looks like us or has anything to do with conservatism?” Claudiu Târziu also said about the elections in Bucharest, in the dialogue with Știri pe sources. “We don't support anyone because we don't have anyone to support,” he explained, referring to Conservative Action, which he founded after leaving AUR.
“The future mayor will only be a prisoner of the interest groups and we do not want to enter this scenario with an announced end. The configuration of the CGMB shows the opposition. The mayor will depend on the composition of the current general council and if he is from the PSD, he will need the support of those from the PNL and USR, and so on, regardless of the party”, said Claudiu Târziu.
