How much does a courier earn in Poland? The latest data surprises the market


The increasing popularity of online shopping means that courier companies must adapt their offers to attract and retain couriers. Few of us wonder how much an InPost, DHL, DPD, UPS or Glovo courier actually earns. The answer to this question is not so clear-cut. Apart from one issue: the earnings of couriers in Poland are much lower than those they can receive in Germany or Great Britain.

As RocketJobs.pl explains, according to the National Salary Survey, the median earnings of couriers in Poland at the beginning of 2025 amounted to PLN 5,930 gross per month, which means an increase compared to previous years. In practice, most couriers earn between PLN 5,170 and PLN 7,400 gross per month.
In large cities, such as Warsaw or Kraków, earnings are 15-25 percent higher. than the national average, which is due to a larger number of shipments and higher delivery rates.

The courier's salary depends on experience, location and seasonality. In large cities, where the number of parcels is larger, earnings are higher. Experienced couriers can earn up to 20%. more than a beginner. During busy periods, such as before the holidays or Black Friday, earnings may increase significantly.

It is worth mentioning that couriers can work under an employment contract, mandate contract or run their own business. Owning your own business gives you the opportunity to earn higher earnings, up to PLN 12,000. PLN gross per month, but it involves greater responsibility and costs. After deducting costs, these amounts may range from PLN 5,500 to PLN 7,500.
How much an InPost, DPD, DHL or UPS courier really earns also depends on the number of packages delivered. As RocketJobs.pl notes, they deliver on average 80-100 packages a day, which requires good organization and communication skills. In addition, couriers can count on financial benefits ranging – depending on the company – between PLN 1,200 and 2,500.

In Germany, the median monthly earnings of couriers are nearly PLN 9,000 gross. As PolskiObserwator.de explains, a DHL courier in Germany with a full-time job of 38.5 hours a week can earn approximately EUR 2,710 (over PLN 11,000) per month. In addition, there is a 13th salary in the form of a Christmas bonus. Couriers can also count on a special holiday allowance of EUR 332 from the second year of employment.
