Bayern Munich left winger Luis Diaz (28) has been handed a 3-match ban for the foul that seriously injured Achraf Hakimi in Bayern's 2-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain.
Luis Diaz has been suspended by UEFA for three matches following his nasty foul on Hakimi.
The penalty handed down by UEFA to Luis Diaz was a severe one after the dangerous tackle on Hakimi, which will keep the Moroccan off the field for a considerable period.

The Colombian striker starred in Paris, scoring both of Bayern's goals, but was red-carded for a violent foul on PSG's Achraf Hakimi in first-half extra time. The Moroccan defender's injury turned out to be serious, with PSG confirming the next day that he had suffered a severe sprain to his left ankle, which has kept him out of action since.
Incidentally, Hakimi received the African Player of the Year award on Wednesday, November 19. Visibly affected, he limped onto the stage.
Vincent Kompany, unhappy with UEFA's decision
UEFA's decision surprised Bayern coach Vincent Kompany, who had expected a lesser punishment. “My information is that he was suspended for one match… I will be disappointed if my information is not correct,” he said, according to sportal.bg. However, Diaz will not only miss the away game against Arsenal, but also the home games against Sporting and Saint-Gilloise.
Bayern Munich leads the Champions League group with 12 points from four games.
