Around 1:30 a.m. on November 20, a citizen from the Republic of Moldova presented himself at Leușeni – Albița Customs at the wheel of a truck with a container trailer. According to the documents submitted to the customs authorities, the cargo was described only as “metal elements”. In reality, a real arsenal of war was discovered in the container.
The press from the Republic of Moldova writes that it is about grenade launchers, a Russian portable IGLA missile system, Kornet anti-tank missile carriers and components for attack drones and that the driver stated that the goods were to be delivered to Israel.
Following the checks, the authorities confirmed that these munitions are not part of the arsenal of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Moldova and are investigating how they arrived in the country.
The company's activity is trade in construction materials and furniture production
The company that would have managed the transit of the goods is “SP-SOLAR SISTEM” SRL, established in 2004. According to public data, the company has three employees and is managed by Victor Procudin, being owned by Veaceslav Pîrvu (90%) and Ninel Basailov (10%). The press from the Republic of Moldova notes that the company reported a net profit of 1.27 million lei in 2024.
Ziarul de Gardă contacted one of the founders of the company, Veaceslav Pîrvu, who stated that he did not know the real nature of the shipment and that the shipment belonged to a friend who had requested his help.
“I called the person who asked me to do the given export for them and he said that I don't really understand what it's about, which launchers… I say: “Hey, good man, are you sane?”. I'll give you his phone and he'll explain better. (…) They asked me to do an export for them, because they don't have a company. I helped, he helped me too. I understood that this product is stopped somewhere at the exit (from country, no)”, explained Veaceslav Pîrvu.
According to the State Register of Legal Units, SP-SOLAR SISTEM SRL has declared activity in fields such as trade in construction materials, the manufacture of machines and equipment or the production of furniture.
