The head of the regional government confirmed his readiness to become mayor of Krasnoyarsk

First Deputy Governor – Chairman of the Government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Sergei Vereshchagin expressed his readiness to become mayor of the regional capital. He reported this on his Telegram channel.
“I am grateful for such an assessment and trust. If Governor Mikhail Kotyukov and City Council deputies approve of my candidacy, I am ready to solve new big problems,” said the head of the regional government.
Let us recall that Sergei Vereshchagin was officially nominated as a candidate for the post of head of the Krasnoyarsk urban district it became known today, November 21. The decision was made by the Presidium of the General Council of the United Russia party.
Earlier, Mikhail Kotyukov promised to elect the head of the regional capital by the end of the year. He said that candidates for mayor can be nominated by political parties, the All-Russian Association for the Development of Local Self-Government, the Public Chamber, the Council of Military Veterans of the Northern Military District and the government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
Ultimately, the head of the region will select two candidates submitted to him and send them to the deputies of the Krasnoyarsk City Council for voting.
